Rebecca Minkoff RTW Fall 2012

I really like Rebecca Minkoff's 2012 RTW collection.  Here are some of my favorite looks.

Even though I don't think I could ever pull them off (or have the nerve to try), I'm kind of loving the sequined pants...

What do you think?

Rug Reasoning

I like to keep my living space clean, neutral, and simple - but not boring.  Rugs are a great way to add colors, patterns, or textures to any room without feeling overwhelmed.  If you have simple furniture, you can still use a simple rug, or you can change things up and use a rug with a fun pattern or colors.  Right now, I have plain rug (similar to the third image below), but I'm considering a more exciting alternative.

What kind of rug would you choose?

A Crown Well Deserved

As I mentioned here, I give a lot of credit to celebrity designers who actually produce a great product.  Lauren Conrad has officially been added to this list.  Her Paper Crown collection is feminine yet edgy, and I love the variety of fabrics and textures.  She also has looks for just about any occasion and any mood you might be in.

Here are some of my favorite looks from her Pre-Spring 2012 Lookbook:

I also thought her Fall 2011 Lookbook was fantastic:

NYFW: There's An App For That

For this year's NYFW, Made Fashion Week, one of the two major venues, created an app that is certain to thrill buyers and editors alike. The app, which is available for the iPhone, iPad, and Android, listens for sound waves coming from the speakers during the fashion shows. These soundwaves, which are inaudible to us, are synced to the fashion shows and tell the app which outfit is being shown at any given time. Then, the app automatically provides a photograph of the outfit, taken by a photographer at the show. It also gives you information such as the designer's name, biography, and contact info.

Whether or not the app will be successful has yet to be seen.  What do you think about the Made Fashion Week app?  Do you think it will work?

*Thanks to Jessie for finding this article (here)!  And check out her blog (here)!  She's hilarious.

The Sleeping Positions of Molly

One of Molly's most apparent personality traits is her desire and ability to get comfortable.  Although her contortionist-like positions may not appear comfortable, trust me, she loves it.  In fact, the more uncomfortable she looks, the more likely it is that she is completely passed out.

{Awkward}

{Upside down sprawl}

{Awkward nugget}

{Backwards}

{A down mattress with a pillow top isn't enough, she also needs five pillows}

{Most normal sleeping positions, also her least favorite - usually means she is irritated}

{Her favorite, and most inappropriate, way to sleep}

{Law school books also put her to sleep}

I would also like to add that Molly likes to sleep in.  By that I mean that on Saturdays and Sundays she prefers if her morning walk is postponed until at least 11:30.  And during college football season she rarely leaves the bedroom to join us for the game before 5:00 in the afternoon.
